Disclaimer: Brief summaries of published research on the relationship between glutathione and specific health conditions are presented in subsequent sections. The common thread in the referenced publications is the observation of a correlation between depleted cellular glutathione levels and either a group of diseases or a specific disease. To the best of our understanding, research to study the therapeutic effects of raising cellular glutathione levels on these diseases has not been reported in published scientific journals. The large number of scientific papers published on glutathione does indicate that the study of this molecule is of great interest to the medical research and healthcare community. Many researchers have attempted to investigate the therapeutic potential of treatments that address glutathione depletion. Unfortunately, these treatments have been largely therapeutically unsuccessful, possibly due to their inability to increase cellular glutathione above homeostasis. One objective of this website is to generate interest in healthcare researchers to explore the therapeutic potential of Glyteine. Glyteine has been clinically demonstrated to rapidly raise cellular glutathione levels following a single dose. Glyteine offers an approach that could overcome the knowledge gap in determining if there really is a causative link between specific diseases and cellular glutathione depletion. At present, it can only be claimed that consuming Glyteine will rapidly and transiently raise cellular glutathione levels above homeostasis in a couple of hours. Without sufficient clinical studies and data, it cannot be claimed that by doing so, any disease can be successfully prevented, treated or cured by consuming Glyteine. Glyteine does not prevent, treat and/or cure any disease.
